Most solvers calculate exactly what hands you should be folding, checking, calling, betting and/or raising in a given situation, and at what frequencies. Naturally, plenty of software exists today which takes the above feature to a whole new level. You can tell Equilab to only factor in some of those suited combinations into the overall range. For example, normally, 65s has four possible combinations – 6♠ 5♠, 6♥ 5♥, 6♦ 5♦ and 6♣ 5♣. Equilab will then mark these hands in dark blue on the matrix. You can do this by using Equilab’s suit selection feature (circled in blue above). In that situation, you can specify to Equilab to only factor in certain suited combinations. On certain boards, you might also have flush draws and/or flushes. Equilab will update the number every time you select, deselect or modify a hand in the matrix. The total number of hands, or combinations, for the selected range is circled in red. ![]()
